| Ramayana Ballet (Traditional Javanese Ballet) |

The Ramayana ballet is unique and famous, and is based on the story of Ramayana,one of the most famous tales in Hinduism. Although there are many other Ramayana ballets, the one in Yogyakarta is specific, because the story of Ramayana or the tale of Prince Rama is depicted on the wall of Prambanan temple in Yogyakarta. It is presented by approximately 250 professional dancers at the open theatre of Prambanan temple. |
| The entire Ramayana
comprises four episodes. Each night, one episode is presented from 07.30 - 09.30 pm. Episode I: The abduction of Shinta Episode II: Hanuman's Mission Episode III: The Death of Kumbokarno Episode IV: Shinta's Trial of Purity A shortened version is also available on one evening. |

Folk Drama Performance) Ketoprak is a Javanese traditional folk drama played by a cast of artists accompanied by the sound of a gamelan orchestra and the voice of professional lady singer or waranggona. The Ketoprak plays episodes from the Indonesian rulers in the past. |
