Garuda Indonesia offers new flight destinations
DENPASAR (indo.com): The national flag carrier Garuda
Indonesia has announced plans to add new Asian destination
and increase flight frequency to existing ports to anticipate
the short-term effect of the Iraq war and the outbreak
of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) on the travel
market.
The new flight services, to commence on June 2003, will
include Jakarta - Hongkong, Surabaya Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta
- Bangkok and Jakarta - Singapore - Beijing. Garuda will
also increase its flights serving Jakarta - Singapore
- Amsterdam, from the current three to four times a week.
Starting March 30, 2003, the aircraft had also increased
its Denpasar - Tokyo direct flight service from the previous
five to seven times per week. The Denpasar - Brisbane
- Auckland (NZ) service ha also been increased from two
to three times per week.
