President Megawati to open PATA Conference

DENPASAR (indo.com): President Megawati is scheduled to open The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Conference in Bali on April 13, 2003. The conference will be held until April 17, 2003.

Over 1,000 delegates are expected to attend the conference. Participants from the ailing Indonesian tourism industry are being offered a 50% discount of the conference registration fee to help stimulate their participation.
Reports also said that former U.S. President and Nobel Prize Laureate Jimmy Carter will not attend the upcoming conference.
