12 Oct 2002 is a sad day for Bali: bombs exploded the
peacefulness of the island. Set off in Legian, Kuta, amidst the popular
clubs of Sari Club and Pady's, resulting in at least 180 deaths already
(by 1pm 13 Oct 2002). More people are injured and receiving treatments
in hospitals in Bali.
We create this site to help allow communications with immediate
families of thousands of people currently vacationing in Bali, especially
those of the victims. We will post updates as we learn them here
on the ground in Bali, we are talking to vacationers, hoteliers,
and local authorities. If you have questions, inquiries about the

the victims that have been treated in Sanglah general hospital

is reported by Media Center amount of 185 people died. But the

casualties that have been identified are 122 deceaseds.
- 07 Nov 02, The latest info issued by the Media Center at Bali
Governor Office today, reported that the total victims of the
bombing in Bali amount of 509 people. Those alive victims that
have been evacuated amount of 120 people; who have been discharged
from hospitals amount of 196 people; and those who are still having
medical treatment at hospitals amount of 8 people (7 patients
are treated at Sanglah Hospital, while the rest is treated at
Puri Raharja Hospital). All patients are from Indonesia. The

- 06 Nov 02, Again, four deceased victims have been identified
already. So the total identified deceased victims as per today
is reported amount of 118 deceaseds.
- 04 Nov 02, The identification of the deceaseds is not totally
completed. But amount of 114 deceased victims have been identified,
and other 70 deceaseds victims are not identified yet, or it is
on progress.
- 31 Oct 02, Still the deceased victims in amount of 184 people.
But the total deceased victims that have been identified are 100
people and other 84 deceased are not identified yet.

people - 181 in Sanglah Hospital, 1 in the RSAD (Armed Forces
Hospital), and 1 died in the evacuation process. 12 victims that
have been taken by their families - 9 Indonesian, 1 US, 1 UK,
1 AU.
Forensic team has examined 138 bodies, identifying 40 people.

at Kuta, Bali
On Sunday, October 13, 2002, one day after the tragic terrorist
attack, Bali's Governor, Dewa Beratha and the Chairman of the
Provincial Parliament, Ida Bagus Putu Wesnawa issued the following
formal declaration in conjunction with the explosion of bombs
in Kuta and Denpasar.
The formal declaration such as :
- Condemn the bombing in Bali on October 12, 2002 at nearly
22.30 hours local time.
- Express our sincere condolences while offering our sincere
apologies to the families of all victims.
- State that the Government and the People of Bali feel it is
their responsibility to do everything in their powers to help
the victims of this tragedy.
- Instruct every level of the local community to remain calm,
on the alert , and to continue preserving the community's unity
and solidarity.
- Urge the people of Bali to undertake joint prayers, in keeping
with their respective beliefs and religious.
- Ask that the Almighty Lord provide us all with his guidance
and protection.
- 14 Oct 02: 12:17pm Bali Time, Here are some new information
after spoke to people from consuls :
- ITALIA : there is only one name they received till this morning
which is Fillaly (may be registered on the list with name Fillau)
and he already evacuated to Singapore yesterday.
- Netherland Consul : Missing people has been reported to them:Sander
Harskamp, Nobert E. Freriks - stay at Hotel Bima Sena
People from Consul still looking for them at some of the hospital

- 13 Oct 02: 15:00 Bali Time, Richard Gozney, UK Ambassador to
Indonesia, said on Metro TV that he is concerned about 15 British
citizens whose whereabouts are still unknown.
- 13 Oct 02, 14:00 Bali Time: The President of Indonesia Megawati
condemns the bombing in Bali, offering condolences to the families
of the victims, welcoming foreign country medical assistance,
and committing to bringing the perpetrators to justice. Victims
are reported to be 182 people died, and 132 people with serious
injuries. The President, the Coordinating Ministers and the Chief
of the Armed Forces will be coming to Bali today.
- 13 Oct 02, 13:00 Bali Time: indo.com team from the Sanglah Hospital
where most of the victims were given medical care, reported a
death toll of over 181 people, as noted from the hospital's board.
- 13 Oct 02, 13:00 Bali Time Bali TV reports 170 people have died,
132 people injured.
- Early morning, 4:00am Bali Time, 13 Oct 02: fire was still ablaze
on the location.
- 12 Oct 02, about 11pm, an explosion took place on Legian Street,
