Passenger will be met at their Bali hotel and transferred directly to the Bali Sea Dancer at nearby Benoa Harbor for an afternoon's sailing. Before the ship sails through the Lombok straits, a safety briefing is given during which the passengers become acquainted with the ship and attend a brief port talk. In the evening the Captain will host a welcoming cocktail party.
Saturday - Badas, Capital of West Sumbawa
Badas, or Sumbawa Besar, is the age-old capital of West Sumbawa. Once the seat of a powerful sultanate from the South Celebes, the township and surrounding villages offer fascinating insights into traditional Indonesian Culture. It is also the site of a beautiful natural harbour with excellent diving and snorkelling.
The ship arrives during breakfast after which passengers may embark on optional local tours. The ship sails from Badas in the afternoon.
Sunday - Komodo National Park
These islands of dry tropical savannah are the home of the Komodo dragon, the world's largest monitor lizard. The lizards - which grow up to three meters in length and may weight as much as 200 kg - are descendants of the carnivorous dinosaurs and have been extinct everywhere else since the Jurassic Age. They can sprint, swim, and climb trees.
The forest here is also the habitat of deer, wild boar, sulphur-crested cockatoos, noisy friar birds, and the rare mound-building megapode birds.
The ship will arrive at dawn after passing through the Komodo Straits during the night. Passengers will disembark early for a cool morning trek of about 4 km to the site where the dragons usually congregate. Afterwards, one may visit Pink Beach, which offers excellent snorkelling. Whales and dolphins are often seen in the straits.
In the afternoon, the ships sets sail from Komodo. Passengers may view the picturesque islands of the Park while enjoying a drink at the poolside bar.
Monday - Arrival Bali
Following breakfast and check-out, passengers will disembark mid-morning and be provided a transfer from the ship to their local hotel in Bali.
