DENPASAR (indo.com): American Express is launching "Ultimately Bali" campaign at the Legian Hotel, Bali as part of its efforts to help revive tourism industry in the Island of Paradise.

The campaign kicked off on November 18, 2003 and will last for six months. Programs will include the distribution of dining and shopping brochures to local and international visitors arriving in Bali. The program offers attractive privileges and superior value at high quality establishments throughout Bali. These brochures will be made available at booths located in Denpasar's Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Under the program, American Express will provide the special offers in Bali to its Cardmembers and travel clients in the Asia region, including Japan, Korea, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and India, as well as domestically to its Cardmembers in Indonesia.

"We are delighted to see American Express' support to our tireless endeavors to promote Bali's status as a prime tourist destination," said Mr. Gede Pitana, head of Bali Tourism Authority, at the launch of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Mr. Peter Kapoor, American Express' Regional Vice President, Global Network Establishment Services said, "Bali has long been a major destination for most international tourists. For American Express, Bali is more than just a tourism destination as we have also contributed to the restoration of its cultural heritage.

In 2001, American Express Foundation made a grant of over Rp480 million for the restoration of Pura Tanah Lot in Bali, one of Indonesia's most treasured historical and religious sites."

"That donation signified American Express' continued support for cultural heritage and tourism in the region," he added.
