'Wonderful Vacation in Indonesia'

I had the most wonderful vacation. I started in Jakarta where I met up with a friend that I had met online. The Blvd Park Plaza was a beautiful hotel and I had a room with a great view. The people were very friendly and I brought back lots of e-mail addresses of friends that I had made.

Then it was off to Bali.

The hotel was better than I had expected (except for the water pressure in the shower was very low), beautifully landscaped and right on the beach. We played in the ocean and pool, long walks on the beach, shopping and eating (lots of Indonesian food that I really liked).

We also went to a Hindu temple (which I wore a skirt at) and drove around the mountains and monkey park. We took the high-speed fairy to my favorite island, Lombok. Lombok was absolutely gorgeous. The water was warm and clear, spectacular sunsets over the water, very friendly people.

Every morning I would go out by the beach and the salesmen would call me by name and we would talk and laugh together. The hotel was wonderful and the food was good. Some local friends I made took us up the mountain one evening to see the sunset, then we looked at one of the inexpensive hotels that I saw on your site ($5 to $15 a night) and I was very impressed with the rooms.

We ate dinner there and I would recommend that hotel to anyone that wants to go cheaply. Ten days wasn't enough time to do everything I would have liked to. I was just getting use to the fun at one island then had to move on to the next.

Hopefully I will be able to return some day and see more of Indonesia. And if anyone ever ask you if it is safe, tell them I said I felt a lot more safer in Indonesia
than in New York City! So that is a quick summery of my trip.
