Bali Arts Festival to commence on June 14

DENPASAR (indo.com): President Megawati is scheduled to open this year's Bali Arts Festival at Niti Mandala Square, Renon - Denpasar on June 14, 20033.

The opening ceremony will also be celebrated at Ardha Chandra open-stage, down town of Denpasar, in the evening, with dance performance by Denpasar Arts College (STSI) expected to highlight the event.

The annual event will run through July 13, 2003. The festival will provide good opportunity for both local and foreign travelers to enjoy an array of Balinese unique arts and cultural attractions.

Arts and culture groups from nine regencies in Bali will take part in the festival. Arts college students are also expected to present their latest works in the festival.

Despite travel advisories, several arts groups from several foreign countries will also take part in the festival.

Visitors will have an opportunity to witness a variety of arts and cultural performances presented by arts groups from several different provinces in Indonesia.
