DENPASAR (indo.com): As a place where traditional customs and Hindu spirits are very influential, Bali has great potential for the development of spiritual tourism packages.

A.A. Prana said that such tourism packages are usually coordinated by the Yoga association or a special group.

"Foreign visitors from the US, Australia, India, Japan and Europe usually come in groups consisting of 15-20 people," said Anak Agung Prana in Denpasar recently.

After doing Yoga or meditation, people like to absorb the power of nature to rid themselves of stress. Further more, they also visit the 'balian' (wizard) to try their spiritual skills.

"Whenever modern people get tired of the stress of life, they look for a different atmosphere, especially the power of nature," said Prana.

Prana mentioned that the places foreign visitors usually visited are mostly situated in the Karangasem regency, in the west of Bali. The spiritual tourism packages also include visits to temples with the great supernatural powers, especially the four guardians temples of Bali: Besakih Temple, Uluwatu Temple (South), Batukaru Temple (West) and The Lempuyang Temple (East).
