Australian artist exhibits works in Bali.
DENPASAR (indo.com): Bali has frequently been selected
as a venue for art exhibition involving not only local
but also overseas artists. When it come to venue for art
exhibition in Bali, Ubud is the most preferred place for
the event. But this time, art enthusiasts will have an
unprecedented opportunity to view art works in Seminyak,
Kuta when Greg Irvine, an Australian artist, displays
his works at the Galeriesoklusa on Jalan Raya Basangkasa
No. 47. The one-month-long exhibition will be opened on
August 18, 2003.
Irvine's works to be displayed reflect his previous traveling
experience in Bali and Cuba.
Greg Irvine is graduated from the National Gallery School
of Art, Australia. Since 1965, he has held more than 60
sole exhibitions. He won numerous awards for his works,
many of which have been displayed in Canberra - Australia,
France and London.
Irvine's exhibition in Bali might encourage local artists
to follow his step to display their works overseas.
