Garuda Indonesia to increase flight frequency
DENPASAR (indo.com): National flag carrier Garuda Indonesia
will increase its flight frequency from Denpasar to Perth,
Australia in an anticipation of the rising number of Australian
visitors to Bali.
Bali Discovery magazine said that an increase of 2,404
visitors to Bali from Western Australia in the first quarter
of 2004 has prompted Garuda Indonesia to increase its
flight frequency.
The airline will offer additional 5,483 seats and 33
flights between the two destinations. The additional seats
and flight frequency will be effective between June 18
and August 1, 2004.
The increase in the number of Australian travelers to
Bali is partly due to the strengthening of Australian
dollar against the rupiah. Bali remains the most favorite
holiday destination for Australians.
Besides, many hotels in Bali now offer competitive hotel
rates and many outstanding restaurants also offer food
and beverage at affordable prices.
Many travel agents sell 7 packages, including flights,
taxes, accommodation and a full breakfast starting from
only AU$ 780.
Garuda Indonesia will take advantage of the increasing
demand from the flight service.
