Annual meeting of PATA to hold in Bali

DENPASAR (indo.com): Bali will once again demonstrate its commitment to security by hosting the 52nd International Conference of Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) scheduled from April 13 to 17, 2003 at the Bali International Convention Center (BICC), Nusa Dua. President Megawati will officially open this international conference.

The Chief of the Indonesian Tourism Development Board, Setyanto P. Santoso said that participants of the conference are those involved within the Asia Pacific Tourism Industry. He also added that hundreds of local and foreign journalists will attend the conference to cover the event, and to get a real picture of the security conditions in Bali.

Managing Director event PATA, Sheila Long stated that the event should mark an important milestone in returning Bali's status as one of the world's finest tourist destinations.
