Former US President Carter to visit Bali to attend PATA Conference


DENPASAR (indo.com): Former US President and Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Jimmy Carter is expected to visit Bali to attend the 52nd Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) conference scheduled for April 13-17, 2003.

Sources said that Carter would be among the 1,400 delegates from across Asia Pacific regionss to attend this year's PATA Conference. The travel industry leaders will discuss issues affecting world tourism since the Bali bombing happened in last October 2002.


The conference will take crisis management as its central theme. World tourism problems will also be discussed at the conference.


At least 25 domestic and international journalists are expected to visit Bali to cover the event.
