Over 40 paintings on display in Denpasar
DENPASAR (indo.com): Eight of Bali's painters are currently
holding joint exhibition at the Lukisan Sidik Jari Museum
close to the city of Denpasar. The exhibition started on
September 10 and will run through November 10, 2001.
The paintaers are A. A. Anom Giri (an abstract genre
painter), Dewa Kt. Astawa (impressionist), Siti Suardani
(decorative woman painter), Darmawan, Indrayuni, Nyoman
Astika (decorative genre), IBG Kt. Sari Buana and IBG
Pt. Susila.
Over 40 of the painters' best works are on view in the
two-month exhibition with the theme "Eight Colors".
The theme reflects eight directions in this universe,
each of which is represented by a different color.
The
exhibition was officially opened by Kasimiartha, maestro
of the Lukisan Sidik Jari Museum and a well-known art
lecturer, on September 10, 2001. Gusti Ngurah Pamecutan,
director and owner of the museum, was also visible among
the attendees.
The exhibition is easily reachable as it is strategically
located in Denpasar, the capital of Bali.
